Two students of dual degree fast track program of Medical Study Program and Master in Biomedical Sciences successfully achieved travel award to attend Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting (JITMM 2014) and Food borne Parasites and Zoonoses 8 (FBPZ8) 2-4 December 2014, at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Center, Central World, Bangkok, Thailand.
The two students, first was Annisa Alkarimah, S.Ked., who presented Poster Presentation ad Turbo Talks titled “Metabolite Extracts of Streptomyces hygroscopicus Subsp. Hygroscopicus causes Morphological Damage, Decrease of Parasite Dedree, and Decrease of DNA Density of Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 in vitro”. Second student was dr. Rivo Yudhinata Brian Nugraha, SKed., who presented Poster Presentation titled “Analysis of Eponemycin (Α’-Β Epoxyketone) Analogous Compounds from Streptomyces hygroscopicus Subsp. Hygroscopicus Extracts and Its Anti-Plasmodial Activity”. Two students were accompanied by their supervisor, Dr.dr. Loeki Enggar Fitri, MKes, SpParK.
JITMM 2014 and FBPZ8 was an international scientific meeting which held annually by Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. On 2014, there were 834 participants from 35 countries. Travel award was only given to 12 participants with strict competition.
