Master Program in Biomedical Sciences (MPBS) Faculty of Medicine (FM) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) on Friday (22/8) conducted meeting with stakeholders. The meeting was held at Graha Medika FMUB and led by the chairman of the MPBS, Prof. Dr. dr. Soemarno, DMM, Sp.MK(K), and the secretary, Dr. dr. Loeki Enggar Fitri,M.Kes, SpParK. This meeting is the first meeting.
The meeting aimed to discuss curriculum development in MPBS. Starting the meeting, Prof. Soemarno explained several important issues related to MPBS, including vision and mission, achievements, cooperation partners etc. Currently MPBS had earned accreditation A from BAN PT. The achievement would be increased with the goal of making MPBS competitive at the regional level. “We have been accredited by BAN-PT in the best level (A), besides that MPBS had received and graduated a lot of foreign students, most of them were from Libya. By the year 2014-2015 our work plan is to improve regional competitiveness through Asean University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certification, it hopes in the coming years there will be more foreign students study in MPBS,” explained Prof. Soemarno.
To realize the plan then Dr. dr. Loeki Enggar Fitri,M.Kes, SpParK invited all stakeholders to discuss curriculum development in MPBS related to permendikbud no 49 year 2014. [Ponda, Kana, Rivo, Loeki]
