Third semester student of Master Program in Biomedical Sciences, Ainun Nizar Masbuchin, dr., won fourth place of oral presentation on Young Investigator Award competition in The 24th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Hearth Association,10 – 12 April 2015. His presentation titled “279ValàPhe Polymorphism of Lipoprotein-associated Phospholipase A2 resulted in changes of folding kinetics and recognition to the substrate”.

ASMIHA (Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Heart Association) is an annual scientific meeting that held by PERKI (Indonesian Cardiovascular Medical Association). Various activities which held in ASMIHA were: workshops, symposia, seminars, panel discussions and scientific workcompetitions. 24thASMIHA was held for 3 days at the Ritz Carlton, Jakarta on April 10 – 12, 2015. Scientific work competition consisted of: Young Investigator Award (YIA), Oral Presentation, and Moderated Poster competitions.

Young Investigator Award was the most prestigious competition in ASMIHA. About two hundred abstracts were accepted by the committee and eight best articles were presented at YIA 24thASMIHA. Presentation, question, and answer sessionswere conducted in English. Participants were assessed by seven judges. Three judges were expertise of cardiovascular physicians association from Thailand, USA, and Singapore. The first-place winner of YIA was Faculty of Medicine Universitas Airlangga, runner up was Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia,and third place Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro.
