WORKSHOP FOR PREPARATION OF BAN PT ACCREDITATION FORMS
MASTER PROGRAM IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES (PMIB)
TO SUPPORT AUN-QA INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Background
Indonesian Law number 20/2003 on National Education System stated that accreditation is sufficient to determine qualification of the program and education unit in formal and non-formal education on various stage and type of education (subsection 60, 1st clause). In order to fulfill the law, Master Program in Biomedical Sciences (PMIB) had been accredited by BAN-PT and granted A accreditation. Commitment of Universitas Brawijaya for International recognition has encouraged PMIB to set up strategic movement to achieve the purpose. Therefore, PMIB need to implement a program to support AUN-QA international certification and BAN-PT accreditation. PMIB has been scheduled for BAN-PT re-accreditation in 2016. In order to maintain A accreditation, PMIB organized a workshop to prepare accreditation forms, supporting documents and self-evaluation. This self-evaluation is important part for assessment in BAN-PT accreditation.
Objective
The aim of this workshop was to prepare accreditation form, supporting documents and self-evaluation for BAN-PT accreditation in 2016. The forms and documents from the result of this workshop were prepared for assessment of BAN-PT and expected to maintain A accreditation for PMIB. Furthermore, it can be used for AUN-QA international certification.
The Scope of The Program
Workshop as one of program development is needed to be done as a step to reach the goal and collective agreement. The scope of activities to obtain national certification as a bridge for international certification were designed comprehensively, precise target and able to present PMIB accreditation forms, supporting documents, and self-evaluation objectively. In this activity workshop team was formed to prepare the accreditation forms, supporting documents, and self-evaluation as an effort to improve the quality of supporting data for BAN – PT accreditation. This workshop designed for various activities, including: establishment of Author Team for PMIB accreditation forms, internal meeting and workshops for preparation of PMIB accreditation forms.
Outcomes
The outcome of this workshop was to prepare the forms and documents for PMIB accreditation by BAN PT in 2016. Other outcome was to fulfill SAR AUN-QA document requirements.
