Background

In line with the mission to accelerate the achievement of UB toward World Class University, MPBS fully committed to improve the their quality at international level. Hence, MPBS endeavors to obtain certification of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) and can apply educational process quality assurance systems based on the AUN-QA standards. Based on training results of AUN-QA document preparation 2014 through assistance of SAR AUN-QA preparation by AUN-QA assessors, Prof. Ir. Satria Bijaksana, M.Sc., Ph.D. from Institut Tekhnologi Bandung (ITB) and also the AUN-QA Training Course results that was held in the center of AUN-QA Chulanglongkorn Thailand, in August 2015, hence the improvements to the standard method of assessment according to AUN-QA in the form of workshop was needed. Thus, this activity is expected to support the SAR document completion and in accordance with AUN-QA standards to meet the filing requirements of AUN-QA certification in 2016. In addition, MPBS is expected also to be ready to implement the AUN-QA standards in quality assurance process of education.

 

Objective

The objective of this activity is to maximize the finishing of the SAR AUN-QA supporting document, and support the implementation of the assessment process standardization. It is expected the completion of SAR documents and Teaching Plan (RPS) can be achieved by the end of 2016 in accordance with the AUN-QA standards certification to meet the filing requirements of AUN-QA. In addition, it is expected that MPBS also ready to implement the AUN-QA standards in education process quality assurance and evaluate on an ongoing basis in order to improve the MPBS’s learning quality.

 

Activities Implementation

Workshop on RPS Assessment and Preparation (Site Visit Preparation of AUN-QA 2016) Master Program in Biomedical Sciences Faculty of Medicine UB was held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Graha Medika R. 107 FMUB. It was followed by a full-time lecturer of MPBS.

 

Output

The expected output of this activity is the completion of the SAR document and AUN-QA supporting documents in accordance with the latest standards of AUN-QA. Furthermore, it is expected that the registration of the AUN-QA certification to MPBS can be done by the end of 2016.
